                      Words

In the selection box, Choose the part of speech for which to create words. The default option is Adjectives.

                      Syllables per Word

The minimum and maximum values will strictly enforce the length of the basic forms of words in this part of the generator. In the Language sections, words may become longer in practical use depending on user settings.

Each part of speech has default settings for word length.

                      Average Word Length

This will result in the average length of words being weighted toward the minimum or maximum values set in the Syllables per Word section. The bias from this setting will be randomly enforced.

                      Prefixes and Suffixes

Adds predetermined prefixes and suffixes to words. Press each item in the list to update it. Adjust the Frequency slider to change the number of words with prefixes/suffixes. Changes are saved immediately.

Setting the frequency to anything other than 0% while leaving the number set to zero will enforce that percentage of words to start with or end with the desired type of letter (consonant, vowel or either). Vowels are suppressed for the first letter under normal settings to have an even distribution across the alphabet. For more words that start with vowels, use this setting.

                      Prevent Duplicates

Strictly prevents duplicate base forms within the same part of speech. Duplicates across the language are allowed.

                      Prevent all Duplicates

Strictly prevents duplicate base forms across all parts of speech. This could slow down the process in some situations.

Press Go to generate the words. Each word is displayed in an editable text box. Words are updated instantly.

If settings have been applied in the Language section, the word list will display inflected forms of words.

                      Filter

Type into the Filter text box to instantly find a word in the results list. The search term will be compared against both English and generated word lists.

The Sentence Builder creates a number of random sentences, applying the rules created in the Generate sections. The Color-coded sentence parts option will label the part of speech of each word and the relationships between verbs and nouns for each language.
